Both mentors and mentees sign up using LinkedIn Single Sign-On (SSO). This allows the platform to pull publicly available LinkedIn profile information—so you can get started quickly without creating a separate password.
Not at this time. LinkedIn SSO is required for mentors and mentees.
You’ll enter basic demographic and career-related information. No sensitive personal data—such as Social Security numbers or financial details—is collected.
We collect only what’s necessary to facilitate mentor-mentee connections: your LinkedIn public profile information, areas of expertise or interest, and your availability. This data is securely stored within the platform and only visible by platform and organization admins.
If you delete your account, your data is retained for 60 days before permanent deletion, in line with our Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service.
Mentors manually enter available time slots in their profile. The platform does not pull from personal or work calendars.
Mentees browse available mentors, view profiles, and book open time slots. Mentors receive an email notification to accept or decline the booking.
Yes! Every mentor has a unique, shareable profile link to make it easier for mentees to connect.
All sessions are conducted via Zoom. When a booking is confirmed, the system automatically generates a Zoom link and includes it in the calendar invite. Neither party needs a Zoom account.
There is no in-platform chat. Communication occurs through automated system emails and calendar invites.
Yes. Mentors and mentees agree on the focus for the session—resume review, career advice, interview prep, industry insights, etc.
Yes, if the mentor has additional availability.
Absolutely. You’ll see their LinkedIn profile, expertise areas, and available times before sending a booking request.
No. All mentoring is volunteer-based and free for mentees.
No. You control your availability and how often you meet with mentees.
You can review the mentee’s profile before accepting the booking to tailor the conversation to their needs.
Yes. If your company/organization is a partner of 50strong they can capture your mentoring hours for reporting.
LinkedIn SSO maintains your LinkedIn session in your browser. To fully sign out, log out of both the 50strong Mentor platform and your LinkedIn account.
Yes. You can view profiles, set availability, and join sessions from both desktop and mobile devices.
